2005-07-01 - 7:29 a.m. Just got back from Germany on Monday. I was over there playing 10 days with Professor Washboard at the Kieler Woche in Kiel. Kiel is in the North of Germany on the Baltic Sea and hosts this city party every year with lots of boats, music, art and exibitions of all kinds. It is the largest of its kind in Northern Europe. The Professor and I were joined by King Perkoff. King is from San Fransisco and played with Mike Bloomfield, Paul Butterfield, Elvin Bishop, Boz Scaggs... He came up in that really rich Bay Area blues scene and played with everybody. We all had a Fantastic time and it was great to reconnect with fans and friends and meet and make new ones. To anyone from Kiel thanks for making our stay a blast. I will post some photos before the 4th of July. FYI the Professor has a new CD out called 110% live. It was recorded at another Festival in Germany a few years ago and Features me and a great Harmonica Player named Kieth Dunn. Back in New York, Rodeo Bar, XR Bar, Ear Inn all this week. We are doing the River and Blues concert series on Thursday, July 14th at 7:00pm. It is outside down at Wagner Park in Battery Park City. You can bring a picnic and watch the sunset behind us. There is a good picture of what it looks like on the Gallery page from last years show (thank you John Caban). My new DVD "Shed" is done and ready to roll. I am happy with it and it is available from this web site. The DVD contains all the video footage that was crushed down and available on the first pressing of "Live at The Rodeo Bar" as an "enhanced" feature, another song "Spiders Web" and presents it all in full frame, full screen, full 16bit stereo. There is also a song under the menu called "Meet My Maker" thats pretty cool. In the studio this month, Wicked Messengers, Siberia, Compulsions, Lorrain Lechy (with Buddy Cage). Peace, Best HP
